AMD has released version 24.12.1 of the Adrenalin Edition software for Windows 10 and Windows 11. This update introduces support for several new games, including Marvel Rivals, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Slitterhead, Delta Force, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Additionally, the release includes enhancements for AI development on Radeon platforms. Official support for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL 2) is provided, allowing developers with compatible hardware to utilize AMD ROCm software on Windows systems without requiring dual-boot configurations. Several issues have been addressed in this release. Performance discrepancies may still be observed when using llama.cpp, potentially affecting Ollama and LM Studio. Texture corruption issues in The Crew Motorfest and system crashes when launching SteamVR with Valve Index at 144Hz on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics have been fixed. Intermittent freezes during save file loading in Monster Hunter: World and crashes while playing Fortnite on Radeon RX 5000 series and newer graphics products have also been resolved. Additionally, H.264 encoding issues with OBS Studio and Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting have been corrected. Known issues include potential driver timeouts or crashes when playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on specific AMD Graphics Products, stuttering in Marvel Rivals with AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 frame generation enabled, and intermittent appearances of the AMD Bug Report Tool following the use of the AMD Cleanup Utility.
