When I was 13, one of my childhood friends and I had a weekly summer afternoon tradition.

Every Tuesday, I would ride my bicycle a few miles into McSherrystown where I would meet my friend, Ted Miller. We would waste time doing whatever until around 3 p.m., and then the two of us would ride together to the Hanover News agency on Baltimore Street to buy a copy of Area Auto Racing News. Ted and I would then ride back to his house and pour through it.
