Mount Joy supervisors

Mount Joy Township supervisors recently elected Christine Demas as the panel’s chair and Chad Yingling as vice chair. From left are Sandra Yerger, Bernie Mazer, Demas, Yingling, and Todd McCauslin. (Jim Hale/Gettysburg Times)

From choosing a new attorney and chair to undoing the appointment of a representative to a countywide body, change was the focus during Mount Joy Township supervisors’ annual reorganizational meeting.

In January 2022 and January 2023, supervisors split 3-2 to retain Susan Smith as the township’s attorney, with Christine Demas and Todd McCauslin in the minority.
