FHCA Forms Hurricane Helene Relief Fund Benefitting Long Term Care Center Caregivers
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Health Care Association (FHCA) today established a Hurricane Helene Relief Fund to aid the heroic caregivers who work in the Association’s member nursing centers and assisted living facilities. The fund will support employees affected by the storm and help them recover from the devastation left in Helene’s wake.
“In the midst of one of the largest hurricanes to hit our state, our caregivers braved the storm to serve our residents and ensure their safety and the highest quality of care,” said FHCA CEO Emmett Reed. “These heroes put the needs of others before themselves to safeguard the well-being of Florida’s most vulnerable residents. We honor them by supporting their recovery through this relief fund set up to ensure they can rebuild.”
All donations to FHCA’s Hurricane Helene Relief Fund will go directly to those in need. The Hurricane Relief Fund was established through the Florida Health Care Education and Development Foundation, FHCA’s 501c (3) tax-exempt organization.
