He has a PhD in practical theology from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, a master’s degree in global urban leadership from Bakke Graduate University, and a bachelor’s degree in theology from the Central American Theological Seminary; he is the academic dean at the Community for Interdisciplinary Theological Studies (ceticontinental.org) and a senior fellow and ordained member of the Street Psalms community (streetpsalms.org).
