Charged with capital murder
As the emergency call connected, the operator heard a teenage boy’s voice.
‘My brother is dead,’ he said. ‘He’s been dead for a while.’
It was mid-afternoon on Sunday 24 October 2021 and the 15-year-old had dialled 911.
‘It’s just me and my two other brothers here,’ he said.
Squalid flat
Cops raced to the City Parc II West Oaks development, Houston, Texas.
They found a squalid property, crawling with flies and cockroaches.
No furniture or electricity.
The 15-year-old and two younger boys, 10 and 7, were in a terrible state.
Malnourished, unwashed and covered in injuries.
One had a broken jaw.
