Visitor & Parking Information
Accessible and visitor parking is available throughout the central campus. More parking is available in the parking garages. Permits are not needed. When using ramps, make sure you follow the “Ramp Open” and “Ramp Closed” lights.
Vital Statistics Section (VSS)
The Vital Statistics Section (VSS) maintains vital records for the state of Texas, including, birth and death certificates, marriage applications, and divorce records. Immunization Section (Central Office)
The goals of the DSHS Immunization Section are to eliminate the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases by increasing vaccine coverage for Texans, raise awareness of the diseases that vaccines prevent, and educate the public about vaccine safety. We do this through the administration of the Texas Immunization Registry (ImmTrac2), which provides access to immunization records, the establishment of school immunization rules, and the administration of the Texas Vaccines for Children and Adult Safety Net programs, which provide low-cost vaccines to eligible children and adults.

Consumer Protection Division (CPD)
The Consumer Protection Division oversees producers of consumer health goods and service providers to ensure public safety. The division provides licensing, rules and standards, oversight and compliance activities, technical advice and communication, and various aspects of disaster preparedness and response. CPD keeps Texans safe through our licensing, oversight, and compliance activities. There are numerous program areas. Some of the top programs include:
