Many records are now available instantly online and can be accessed without making a public records request. See below for a list of records and information available online.

Resources Available Online

Birth, Death, Marriage and Divorce Certificates are available online through the State of Washington, Department of Health, https://doh.wa.gov/licenses-permits-and-certificates/vital-records.

Real Estate Documents, Property Tax Information, and County Maps are available online through the Douglas County website:

Court records are not subject to the Public Records Act. State-wide court records are available online at Washington State Court Information. Information regarding the meetings of the County Commissioners is available online at County Commissioners' Proceedings.

Court records are not subject to the Public Records Act. Contact the Douglas County District Court and Douglas County Superior Court directly to request copies of court records.

The Sheriff's Office directly handles all public records requests made to the Sheriff's Office. The Public Records Office can provide assistance regarding a public records request to the Sheriff's Office.
