Letter: Thanks for the memories, Worthington

On your best days you have been a foretaste of the day when people will come ... and sit together at the table in God’s Kingdom.

To the Editor:

We have lived in Worthington for 18 years, longer than either of us have lived anywhere in our lives. Calling this community home has been a blessing. We are so grateful for the friendships and experiences we have shared with you.

On July 6, we will move to Pensacola, Florida to be near our daughter and three grandsons. We look forward to relaxing on white sand beaches.

We will hold onto our Worthington memories and the pride we have in this community. On your best days you have been a foretaste of the day when people will come from north, south, east, and west and sit together at the table in God’s Kingdom.

So we want to say thank you to people we have come to cherish and admire. They include the members of Westminster Presbyterian Church, members of the Presbytery of Minnesota Valleys’ Occidente Partners Task Force (mission in Guatemala) and Self Development of People Committee, Manna Food Pantry staff and clients, Love INC staff and clients, Community Education tutors and students, International Festival Committee members, Early Risers Kiwanians, members of Manos Unidas and the Worthington Area Immigrant Advocates, and the Dream Catcher kids. You are making Worthington a good home for all residents. As you continue to do so, we will keep you in our prayers.

Jim and Cynthia Krapf
