Background:

Two years ago, Developing Dreams created the first 3D body scanning and 3D printing art installation in the UK ‘Break the Mould’ in partnership with 3Dify and artist Emilia Telese, which was hugely popular.

This year, 3Dify aims to create another unique spectacle and fun experience that brings exciting new technology to the streets that’s not generally available to the public. Think ‘Matrix style bullet time’ video and you will know what is on the cards.

The new time freeze booth is part of a dual purpose, portable capture system that can be transformed into a 3D body scanning booth. 3Dify developed this novel 3D capture system partly funded by Innovate UK. As part of the research for the project, some interesting facts and figures have emerged. Get in touch if you are interested in finding out more.

Who are 3Dify?

They create immersive experiences using emerging technologies.

Their current 3D body scanner has been a hit at high profile events where the company has used 3D scan data to 3D print mini figures of participants and create  interactive 3D images online. Watch this space as they have an augmented reality app in BETA so that you can place your virtual mini self into the real world (how bizarre does that sound?!)

The team behind 3Dify is a mix of hardware, software and multimedia wizards who love exploring and tinkering with new technology, 3D scanning, 3D printing, design, fabrication, and artistic installations that are attention grabbing and novel. They enjoy innovating, experimenting, and co-creating to turn imagination into reality.

If you have any questions, comments, or would like to enquire about hiring 3Dify’s installations for an event then drop them an email. They are based in Brighton, UK.

Follow them on Twitter for news and updates or subscribe to their mailing list for occasional updates. Get in touch with Kati Byrne on 07984185838 or [email protected] for more information about Revolve or images.
