TV fans have been left heartbroken after realising that a beloved comedy series has been brutally axed - despite its incredible 98% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Harlem, created by Tracy Oliver, hit Amazon Prime Video back in December 2021.
The drama returned for a second series in February 2023 and later that year it was revealed that there would be a third.
Fans don't have long to wait until the next instalment as it premieres this month - but unfortunately, it will be the last one.
Vernon Sanders, who is head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said: 'As we prepare to say goodbye to this incredible series, we’re both grateful for the journey Tracy has taken us on and excited for our global customers to experience a final season that truly honors these characters.'
Tracy added: 'It’s been an incredible journey and I’m honoured to see the impact it’s made in the culture, as well as the impact it’s had on all of us who’ve been blessed to work on it.'

One fan shared their disaapointment on Instagram, writing: 'Wait Final?????? Please no!! This is crazy. The show is phenomenal. I’m watching and loving from the UK. No one call me on the 23rd January!'
Another added: 'Final season?!?! Whyyyy.'
'This show deserves at least 2 more seasons,' a third wrote.
A fourth commented: 'Final season??? Nah. That’s not fair. Always QUICK to get rid of the good shows. Smh.'

First broadcast in 2021, Harlem is centered around a group of women who are close friends living in the titular Manhattan neighbourhood.
It explores all four of these ladies as 'they level up from their 20s into the next phase of their careers, relationships, and big city dreams.'
The series is led by Jerrie Johnson, Meagan Good, Grace Byers, and Soniqua Shandai as the four central characters - Tye, Camille, Quinn, and Angie, respectively.
Holding an impressive 98% rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes, many viewers have shared their love for the show.

Created, written, and executive produced by Tracey Oliver, Harlem was renewed for a third season at the end of last year.
It was then announced in November that the next episodes would be arriving on January 23, 2025, following the cliffhanger last season ended on.
Prior to this, Amazon uploaded the first two seasons onto its YouTube channel, with all episodes free to watch.

Speaking to Elle last year, Tracy spoke about how the characters could be 'much-needed affirmations for women'.
'It's important for me to show the messiness because that's real life. We often say things that we shouldn't say, or because of our emotions, call or text things that we shouldn't and then immediately regret it or feel embarrassed the next day,' she said.
'That messiness never really goes away. As you age, you become smarter, but you're still vulnerable to making mistakes and getting your feelings hurt and not always acting in your best interest.'
She continued: 'What I'm trying to do through the show is subtly show that there is no right or wrong way to be a woman.
'Any choice that you decide to make that fulfils your personal goals and your personal happiness is right for you. It doesn't matter what society has to say ultimately.'
Series one and two of Harlem are available to stream on Prime Video now.
