Puma have hilariously poked fun at themselves in their latest campaign after previously facing a potential marketing disaster over Marc Cucurella's actions in Chelsea's recent win over Tottenham.
Cucurella made two costly slips that led to goals in Chelsea's rollercoaster 4-3 victory over their London derby rivals last weekend and changed footwear midgame as a result.
Puma's next-gen Future 8 boots were only recently launched in the run-up to Christmas and Cucurella had originally tested them out during training at the club's Cobham centre.
The Spaniard is a big-money ambassador for the sports brand but wasn't impressed with the company's new £220 boots that he wore against Spurs and later posted a picture of them in the bin.
However, his post-match update on social media that saw the Euro 2024 winner post the Puma boots on his Instagram story showing them in the bin alongside the message 'Sorry Blues' caused fury and was later deleted.
By the time Cucurella had taken his post down it had been seen all across social media and left sections of fans thinking twice about buying their own pair of the Puma boots.

However, instead of punishing their ambassador, Puma have instead decided to make fun of the situation in a refreshing piece of marketing that prominently featured Cucurella.
Publishing their latest marketing collateral on Saturday ahead of Chelsea's Premier League hosting of Brentford on Sunday, Puma shared a snap showing Cucurella stood next to an edited wet floor sign.
Instead of showing the usual slipping stick man, the sign instead featured a stick person with Cucurella's iconic afro haircut.
The full-back stood next to the yellow sign with his arms outstretched with the post being ironically captioned: 'It’s not how you slip, it’s how you bounce back.'

A series of follow-up posts also followed showing the wet floor sign being taken on a tour around various areas of London.
The advertising posts went own a storm with Chelsea supporters who loved seeing the brand make fun of a potentially disastrous situation with one reply on X stating: 'Excellent salvaging work.'
Another X update similarly added: 'Only way they could realistically spin that lol'.
However, some rival supporters issued caution over Puma's post with one comment stating: 'Imagine slipping again with this boot tomorrow.'
