With Christmas Day just one sleep away, shoppers will be wondering just how late they can leave their last-minute supermarket trips.
All the major chains will be pulling down the shutters on Christmas Day, except for one notable exception.
Boxing Day hours can vary, with some stores not re-opening until December 27.
New Years opening hours also differ greatly between chains, with some retailers closed for business on New Year's Day in a bid to let staff relax after one of the busiest times of the year.

Aldi:
Last-minute Aldi shoppers have until 6pm on Christmas Eve to get their final pieces of shopping before the big day.
Every one of Aldi's over 1000 UK stores will then be shut for both December 25 and 26, before reopening on December 27.
Stores will then open each day in the lead up to the New Year, before once again closing on January 1.
The popular budget supermarket's full festive hours are as follows:
- December 24 - open 7am to 6pm
- December 25 and 26 - closed
- December 27 and 28 - open 8am to 8pm
- December 29 - open 9.30am to 4pm
- December 30 - open 8am to 8pm
- December 31 - open 8am to 6pm

Supermarket chain Asda will be operating under reduced hours on Boxing Day and New Year's Eve
Asda:
British supermarket giant Asda will be closed on Christmas Day across all of its 1,200 UK stores.
However, Boxing Day shoppers can refill the fridge following a Christmas Day feast with the chain set to operate reduced hours on December 26.
Asda stores will also be open around the country on both New Years Eve and New Years Day.
Asda's full festive hours are as follows:
- December 24 - open 10am to 7pm
- December 25 - closed
- December 26 - open 9am to 6pm
- December 27-30 - open normal hours
- December 31 - open 7am to 7pm
- January 1 - open 9am to 6pm

Aldi rival discount retailer Lidl's opening hours will vary across branches, with shoppers advised to check local store times first.
All stores will be shut on Christmas Day, but some will re-open for customers for a reduced period on December 26.
Normal operating hours will be followed from December 27 to 30, with all stores then shut on the New Year's Day in a bid to give staff a break during the very busy Christmas period.
Lidl's full festive hours are as follows:
- December 24 - open until 6pm
- December 25 - closed
- December 26 - some stores open, check with local branch
- December 27-30 - open normal hours
- December 31 - open until 6pm

Marks and Spencer stores across the UK will not re-open until December 27

The popular grocery, fashion and homewear chain will then operate at reduced hours across the festive period.

Filling station stores will also operate on a slightly different schedule over the Christmas period.
Stores will only be closed on Christmas Day itself, with reduced operating hours for December 26, 31 and January 1.

The chain's supermarkets, extra and express stores will also be operating on differing schedules over Christmas.

Waitrose's service and filling station stores will remain open on Christmas Day
Waitrose are bucking the trend by being one of the only major retailers to have any stores open on Christmas Day.
The chain's Welcome Break Service Stations stores alongisde their Shell forecourt stores will be pulling up the shutters on December 25.
Most supermarket and local stores will remain shut on Boxing Day, with varying trading hours between December 26 - January 1 depending on the store itself.
