NSW gov seeks partners for manufacturing ICT panel

The NSW government is seeking partners for an ICT Workshop panel that will support the state's Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF).

Scheduled to open in 2024, the AMRF aims to support industry and research in Bradfield City Centre, located on the doorstep of the Western Sydney International Airport.

The AMRF will initially offer technology and personnel experienced in advanced mechanical-based manufacturing capabilities.

From late 2026, a second facility will focus on advanced semi-conductor and electronics manufacturing to address capability needs in defence and aerospace.

To support the AMRF, the NSW government has established the Workshop ICT Procurement Panel to source software and hardware including AV equipment, digital process control technology, industrial IoT devices, sensors, actuators and environmental monitoring solutions.

In an invitation to respond published on 28 June 2024, the NSW government has invited ICT suppliers to register their interest in the joining the panel.

Prospective panelists will be assessed based on experience supplying Workshop ICT items to larger customers and manufacturing facilities.

They will also be assessed on their proposed process for providing the service, including their approach to maximising product availability for timely delivery, relationship management and sustainability.

The invitation to respond will close on 31 July 2024.
