Ranked second in the WVC in passing. Completed 123 of 242 passes for 1,961 yards and 21 touchdowns. Averaged 15.9 yards per completion. Led the team in rushing with 825 yards. Averaged 4.5 yards per carry and had eight rushing touchdowns.

Jake Howe

Wilkes-Barre Area, Junior

Led the conference in passing yards with 1,962. Averaged 10.9 yards per completion. Completed 180 of 327 attempts and tied for the conference-lead in touchdown passes with 21.

Anthony DeLucca

Quarterback

Wyoming Area, Senior

Helped lead the Warriors to the District 2 Class 3A championship game. Completed 70 of 125 passes for 1,276 yards and 18 touchdowns. Averaged 18.2 yards per completion. Completed 56.0 percent of his passes. Also had two rushing touchdowns.

Ty’Meere Wilkerson

Running back

Berwick, Junior

Developed into one of the top running backs in the WVC. Rushed for 1,438 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 11.0 yards per carry. Also caught 13 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown. Set a program record with 306 yards rushing in a game at Williamsport.

Chase DeSanto

Offensive line

Wyoming Area, Senior

Recently signed with Sacred Heart University. Did not allow a sack this season. Led an offensive line that helped the Warriors rush for 3,324 yards, average 8.3 yards per carry and rush for 50 touchdowns.

Kyle Draina

Offensive line/Defensive line

Crestwood, Senior

A key presence on an offensive line that helped the Comets rush for 2,579 yards and 32 touchdowns. Crestwood averaged 5.5 yards per carry. Recorded 37 total tackles, 24 of them solo. Had six tackles for loss and recovered one fumble.

Jim Gryskewicz

Offensive line/Defensive line

Wilkes-Barre Area, Senior

Was anchor of offensive line where he could play all five positions effectively. On defense, he recorded 76 total tackles, 41 solo. Averaged 6.3 tackles per game and had four tackles for loss. Had one sack and three quarterback hurries.

Josh Mruk

Wyoming Area, Junior

Had 29 total tackles, 14 of them solo. Recorded eight tackles for loss. Finished the season with four sacks and seven quarterback hurries. Intercepted one pass and caused three fumbles.

Lincoln Bibla

Crestwood, Senior

Was an absolute game-wrecker at linebacker. Finished tied for the team lead in tackles with 57, 44 of them solo. Recorded 14 tackles for loss. Saw time in short-yardage situations on offense and averaged 6.2 yards per carry and rushed for six touchdowns.

Nate Malarkey

Played significant role in all three phases of the game. Recorded 64 tackles to go along with three sacks. Had six tackles for loss, intercepted three passes and recovered two fumbles. Had 18 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns. Averaged 19.7 yards per catch.

Dylan Geskey

Recorded 84 tackles, 39 of them solo. Had eight tackles for loss to go along with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Also had a defensive touchdown. On offense, rushed for 791 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Aleks Jaskiewicz

Crestwood, Senior

Part of an offensive line that was one of the best in the WVC. The Comets rushed for 32 touchdowns and averaged 5.5 yards per carry. On defense, he was credited with four quarterback hurries and had 37 total tackles, 33 of them solo.

Lucas Lopresto

Pittston Area, Sophomore

Led the team in receptions with 34 receptions for 475 yards and a team-best eight touchdown catches. Averaged 14.0 yards per catch. Intercepted one pass. Returned one punt 66 yards for a touchdown and returned two kicks totaling 180 yards for touchdowns.

Treyvon Gembitski

Caught 50 passes for 647 yards and nine touchdowns. Averaged 12.9 yards per catch. Recorded 56 total tackles, 41 of them solo, and averaged 5.1 tackles per game with two tackles for loss.

Was second on the team in tackles with 123, 72 of them solo. Averaged 11.2 tackles per game. Had 13 tackles for loss. Recorded two sacks.

Logan Sincavage

Led the team in tackles with 127, 83 of them solo. Averaged 10.6 tackles per game. Had eight tackles for loss. Had two sacks on the season and three quarterback hurries.

Gavin Lewis

Had a major impact on both sides of the ball. Led the team with six interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. Led the team in receptions with 42 for 688 yards and 11 touchdowns. Averaged 16.4 yards per catch.

Hunter Johnson

Led the team in tackles with 94. Averaged 8.5 tackles per game and recorded nine tackles for loss. Was credited with three quarterback hurries. Was third on the team in rushing with 219 yards. Averaged 4.3 yards per carry and rushed for two touchdowns.

Luke Kopetchny

Began the season with a nine-catch, 262-yard, two-touchdown game on opening night. Ended the season with 41 receptions for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns. Averaged 19.6 yards per reception.

Jacob Morgan

Rarely left the field. Second on the team in tackles with 70, 35 of them solo. Had four pass breakups and recovered two fumbles. Also served as the team’s long snapper.

Andrew Steinberger

Had 48 total tackles, 13 of them solo. Averaged 3.7 tackles per game and had 7.5 tackles for loss. Had six sacks and 10 quarterback hurries. A big part of a dominant offensive line that helped the Warriors rush for 3,324 yards and 50 touchdowns, while averaging 7.8 yards per carry.

Kevin Wiedl

Wyoming Area, Senior

Had one sack and two quarterback hurries. Had 75 total tackles, 42 of them solo. Averaged 5.8 tackles per game and eight tackles for loss. Intercepted two passes, recovered three fumbles and had two pass break-ups. Was second on the team in receptions with 16 for 337 yards and three touchdowns. Averaged 21.1 yards per catch.

Jim Mitkowski

Lake-Lehman, Senior

Led the Black Knights in rushing with 817 yards and 10 touchdowns. Averaged 7.2 yards per carry. Also caught seven passes averaging 7.6 yards per reception. Recorded 96 tackles and forced three fumbles, recovering one. Had four sacks.

Played instrumental role in the offensive line picking up tendencies necessary to perform as a cohesive unit. The Mountaineers rushed for 1,712 yards on the season. The team averaged 3.8 yards per carry and rushed for 25 touchdowns.

Zach Williams

Dallas, Senior

Proved to be a game-changer for the Mountaineers on the defensive side of the ball. Recorded 81 total tackles, including 19 tackles for loss. Also had six quarterback sacks.

Clark Van Orden

Center/Linebacker

Dallas, Senior

Another key component on an offensive line that came together as the season moved along. Made a tremendous impact on the defensive side of the ball. Had 100 total tackles, five sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Ben Dowling

Tight end/Defensive line

Lake-Lehman, Senior

Played a key role in the team’s offensive scheme. Caught 20 passes for 338 yards and four touchdowns. Averaged 16.9 yards per catch. Rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. On defense, he recorded 107 total tackles, four forced fumbles and seven sacks.

Rowan Laubach

Had 15 touchbacks on the season. Kicked 49 extra points and made a conference-best five field goals with a long of 47 yards.
