The logo conveys the concept of chips (motherboard) allied to the technology represented by the lines with the connecting circles on the letter C. The zip file contains the JU logo in various formats and resolutions (which can be seen from their file name/type and the name of a folder they are in). Chips JU logo exists in different layout versions, suitable for digital rendering (web, ...) or for print (the CMYK version is recommended).

For any publications produced by Chips JU projects, it is mandatory to clearly state the funding sources, as outlined in the JU Grant Agreement. Additionally, these publications must prominently display both the Chips JU logo and the European Union (EU) emblem. This requirement ensures transparency and proper acknowledgment of the financial support and institutional backing provided by the Chips JU and the EU, reinforcing the connection between the project outcomes and their funding entities.
Guidelines
- Don’t rotate the logo;
- don’t rearrange parts of the logo;
- don’t add external elements;
- don’t add external elements;
- don’t use in another colour;
- always respect the construction of the logo;
- do not change the dimensions or spaces between letters, under any circumstances;
- the special version of the logo (yellow or blue) should only be used when the background does not allow to use of the main logo version in the original colours.
- black and white versions must only be used in specific cases: when the colour version doesn’t fit due to readability issues (e.g. coloured backgrounds or printing limitations).
- the white version should be used whenever the logo is applied on a photo or dark background.

The Chips JU logo is copyrighted, though free use is authorised for the purposes described. Uses not related to the promotion of Chips JU and its projects are not authorised. Specifically, its use must not create the impression or assumption that there is a connection between the user and the Chips JU where this connection does not exist, it does not lead the public to believe that the user benefits from the support, sponsorship, approval or consent of the Chips JU where this is not the case, and it is not used in connection with any objective or activity which is incompatible with the aims and principles of the Chips JU, or is otherwise unlawful.
EU Emblems
These are required in all publications. For information about the use of the EU emblem, please refer to the guidelines , as well as the accompanying annex to this document, EU_Partnership_guidelines_2021 .
