Megan Fox's Vampy Jelly Mani Is the Coolest Take on Fall's Red Trend

Looks like red nails are staging a comeback. Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Megan Fox all wore the shade in the span of a week, reviving the classic for the upcoming winter trend cycle. Better yet, Fox chose a vampy red jelly shade for her first big appearance since announcing her pregnancy, and the manicure perfectly balances the festive hue with Fox's edgy aesthetic.

For her first outing post her internet-breaking pregnancy announcement (and manicure), Fox headed to GQ's Man of the Year celebration late last week in Los Angeles. Although there are no red carpet photos of the star, Fox's manicurist Brittney Boyce gave fans a sneak peek of her glam and manicure on Instagram.

Fox styled a lacy sheer black gown with the only pop of color coming from her extra-long red nails. The manicure featured a sharp almond shape covered in a layer of sheer red jelly polish for a see-through effect. "We wanted to do something vampy," shared Boyce, who used CND’s Bordeaux Babe, adding that it's the "perfect shade to bring that to life." Boyce mixed the color with CND's Clear No-Wipe+ Top Coat to create the sheer jelly effect. "This was Megan’s first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy so we wanted a classic but punchy nail look to complement her beautiful lace detailed outfit," she added.

The rest of Fox's glam was pretty and simple. Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos created "baby" waves, styling her hair in loose curls with lots of shine using the Garnier Fructis's Hair Filler Serum.

For makeup, the Jennifers Body actor wore sleek black eyeliner and a bronzy and blushed complexion. After prepping the skin with Herbivore skincare, makeup artist Jenna Kristina used lots of Maybelline products on Fox, including the Tattoo Studio Sharpenable Gel Pencil and the Hyper Easy Liquid Liner to get her wing, and the Shadow Blocks Eyeshadow in 82nd & Park Avenue to create her bronzy eyeshadow look. The rest of the glam was glowy and bronzed courtesy of the Super Stay Skin Tint, City Bronzer, and Sunkisser Multi-Use Liquid Blush and Bronzer. The finishing touch? A swipe of the Lifter Gloss  in shade Heat for a glossy, pink lip.
