Petting Zoo Comedy: Welcome to the world’s first comedy show featuring live animals alongside comedians! New York’s best comics — including Chloe Troast, Casey James Salengo, and Grace Leishman will perform their sets while holding critters like snakes, birds, lizards, and bugs. Between sets, you can meet the animals up close and personal and talk with Ranger Eric Powers about them!

“Cassandra” at The Brick: This new play by Susannah Yugler reimagines “The Trojan Women” with a pre-recorded script and a cast of dances. The show follows Cassandra, the cursed prophet, as she tries desperately to save what’s left of her home from her family and the gods.

“Underground Brooklyn” tour: Are you curious about Brooklyn’s oldest subway stations, and about the borough’s abandoned platforms and stations? Join former transit planner Rayn Riel to head underground and learn all about the past, present, and future of Brooklyn’s mass transit system. You’ll explore some of the art and architecture at Brooklyn’s oldest stations, uncover transit secrets, and much more.

Brooklyn Robotics League Competition: Watch as fifteen teams of kids from ages 9-17 from libraries around Brooklyn battle it out at the annual Robotics Competition! The teams have spent eight weeks constructing and coding LEGO robots, and on Saturday, those robots will attempt to solve various challenges to win top honors. Learn about some great new tech and cheer on your hometown team!

Mulchfest: It’s that time again — time to toss out your live Christmas tree in style! Bring your tree to a Mulchfest location near you for Chipping Weekend, where you can watch your tree get turned into fresh mulch and even take a bag home for your own plants and garden. Some locations turn Mulchfest into a little celebration, with hot chocolate and a last bit of holiday joy!

Folkus: Folkus is a monthly music series featuring some of today’s great folk artists! Each month, three generations of the Lowe family work together to bring singer-songwriters and musicians from various genres — Americana, Blues, Jazz, and more — to Brooklyn. This week, enjoy a performance from Nashville-based “rogue-folk” band Adrian + Meredith.
