Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge and views of city, Hostel Estação Maracanã is set in Rio de Janeiro, 700 metres from Maracanã Stadium. All the staff were incredibly lovely, helpful & professional. All facilities were modern & clean + aircon in the bedrooms. Common space by the pool was a perfect place to relax and meet people! The best experience & most comfortable stay I've ever had in a hostel. Couldn't be happier & more thankful!

Located in Búzios, a 12-minute walk from Armação Beach, Bamboo Búzios Hostel has a number of amenities including a bar and free WiFi. Location is right in the waterfront and you can see lovely views while eating breakfast or chilling in the outdoors or indoors common areas. Also, it’s in the town center and a short walk from to all the touristic cafes, restaurants and shops, including the port where the boats leave from, so it’s very convenient. Hostel staff are helpful (service provided mostly in Portuguese or Spanish) and they arrange activities during the day and evening, as well as providing the option to book tours with them.

Aquarela do Leme has a fitness centre, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Rio de Janeiro. I liked the great views, fresh and bright interior, location in close distance from the beach, good breakfast.

Castelo dos Tucanos Hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Rio de Janeiro. Well situated in the Santa Teresa district, this hostel features a bar. Highly recommended for solo travelers or couples. I initially booked for just one night but ended up staying three weeks in this charming castle. Located in the heart of the city, this historical gem is adorned with beautiful art, and you can enjoy a stunning view of Christ the Redeemer right from your room. The large garden and relaxing pool are perfect for unwinding, and the rooftop offers breathtaking sunsets. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every Sunday, there's a free BBQ, and the breakfast is simply amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options. The warm, social atmosphere made me feel right at home. Located in Petrópolis, 2.8 km from Cathedral of St. Peter of Alcantara, Village Hostel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. It’s a good place to rest, good staff the owner is kind and attentive, beds are cozy, kitchen is complete, super clean, wifi is ok, coffee in the morning is nice.

Rio World Connection Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Rio de Janeiro. Lovely view at the lagoon and Niteroi. Overall in the night. A lot of space to sit chill and lay around. TV and sofas, a hammock, a pool and more space to chill at the pool. All what the heart wants. Then you have lapa and it’s bars close but far enough that’s quite in the hostel :)

Set in Rio de Janeiro and within 700 metres of Copacabana Beach, Chez Zany Boutique Hostel - Copacabana features a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. From the moment we arrived, we were immediately made to feel welcome by Flaviana, Lucas & Luciene. With Rio being our first destination in Brazil/South America, we were quite anxious when deciding where to stay and Chez Zany exceeded our expectations. It felt very safe and secure and the location was perfect. The volunteers have big hearts and really added value to our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and the added touches of organised activities and Saturday breakfasts are really great! Can’t thank them enough for making our stay really lovely. Muito Obrigada <3
