The room was big, even bigger than the picture, clean, and the bathroom was great with the heater. The guest facilities in the lobby were perfect; they served snacks and coffee/tea 24 hours a day. The staff was super nice and polite, and they helped us with the luggage transfer, too. The location is also great, near the bus stop, local restaurants and cool coffee shops and bakeries.

L’établissement ALA HOTEL KYOTO bénéficie d’une situation géographique idéale à Kyoto. I loved the room. It was spacious and very clean (big enough to accomodate two big open suitcases). The lobby staff all spoke English. The baths were also spacious and clean. Every floor has a vending machine which is also awesome. When it was time to leave the staff took care of measuring our luggage and filling out the form to send our luggage to our next hotel. When I lost my credit card and it was found by the police, the staff called my room and let me know then they printed out a map and gave me clear instructions on where to go to get it back. All in all, my stay here was very plesant and me and my spouse intend to stay with them again in the future.

We all loved how the whole hotel had tatami flooring, it was very soft to walk on. The beds were very comfortable. The hair care products in the showers were very nice as well, I wish I could buy them. The private baths were incredible. They’re first come first serve but I never had to wait long to get into one. Also the staff was always so friendly, helpful, and nice.

Great location - short walk to Gion and many bus/train stops to travel to further destinations. At the same time it's in a very quiet area. Good public bath. Rooms are nice and fairly spacious for 2 people. Amazing service at the reception.
