Baca County is committed to providing equitable access to our services to all Baca County citizens. The County’s ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the most current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, levels A and AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make web content accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability. This website is just part of a meaningful change in making all Baca County services inclusive and accessible. ADA compliance is an ongoing process and Technologies are constantly evolving and changing. Baca County is continuously striving to maintain a balance between the ever changing technology needs of the various departments within the county and the accessibility needs of its community. With that goal in mind, the following ADA compliance plan is being implemented and maintained.   • Create an inventory of all digital communication methods and technologies that need to be made accessible.
  • Maintain and keep up to date with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and ensure that our organization complies with both federal and state ADA regulations.
  • Provide training to staff members on ADA requirements, disability awareness, and best practices for accommodating individuals with disabilities.
  • Make sure that all communication materials, including websites, documents, and forms, are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide alternative formats such as braille, large print, and accessible electronic formats.
  • Ensure that all digital platforms, software, and technology used by our organization are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
  • Conduct accessibility testing and audits to identify and resolve any accessibility barriers.
  • Establish a feedback mechanism for individuals with disabilities to report accessibility barriers and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Regularly assess and address feedback to continuously improve accessibility.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the implementation of the accessibility plan.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the progress of the accessibility initiatives and share them with relevant stakeholders.

ADA compliance is an ongoing process that requires continuous effort and commitment. By following these steps and actively working towards making our organization more accessible, we can create an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities in the state of Colorado.
