LOTS OF BUGS. Bug spray and smoke don’t work. Snow/ice above 9k elevation. Very few foot traffic on this trail. Use GPS
Started at Happy Isles and hiked up the Mist trail past Vernal and Nevada Falls. Stopped at Little Yosemite Valley for a snack and to top off water. Continued on the John Muir Trail all the way to Sunrise High Sierra camp where I spent my first night. The next day I headed to Sunrise Lakes and then hiked south along Clouds Rest trail. Eventually I turned off that trail, picked up the JMT and headed to LYV for my second night. Third day was a short hike down to the Valley.
