Some technical sections of terrain feature loose rock and scrambling down or up boulders. It is suggested to bring plenty of water because most of the route is exposed, and there are no water sources. The best time to visit is during the fall, winter, and early spring months when the temperature is mild, and the scenery is beautiful.

Camelback Mountain via Cholla Trail
This trail is definitely a challenge. It is not for the weak. We made it from Cholla side to Echo Canyon’s beginning. One end to the other. I felt so accomplished when I finished, because I have never done something like this before. I workout 5-7 days a week, and I was definitely challenged. The treadmill and stair master is no comparison to this. DO IT!!!!! Take plenty of water and some snacks. Stop enough to take pics for memories. It was fun.
Conditions: Dry ground
