The recall concerns Great Value Cinnamon Rolls and Great Value Cheese Danishes, and was initiated after the baked goods were found to contain pieces of plastic. Both items were sold exclusively at Walmart stores (Great Value is one of Walmart's in-house brands) and distributed nationwide. The following Great Value products are included in the recall: Great Value Cheese Danishes (UPC 078742201177) with the lot # L092525200 269XGreat Value Cinnamon Rolls (UPC 078742201160) with the # L092525200 269X Both the Great Value Cheese Danishes and Great Value Cinnamon Rolls were sold in retail cases of 12 individually packaged pastries. Consumers likely purchased them as individually packaged units. The recall includes 2,027 cases of Great Value Cheese Danishes and 1,602 cases of Great Value Cinnamon Rolls. Walmart The recall was initiated on Nov. 1, however, it was officially classified as a Class II recall on Nov. 19, meaning it is "a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote." The recall status is ongoing, and it is possible consumers still have the recalled products in their homes. If you believe you have one of the recalled Walmart bakery items, do not consume it.
