Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings ¾ cup hot water 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder ½ cup butter ⅓ cup packed brown sugar 12 (1 gram) packets artificial sweetener 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder 2 tablespoons dry milk powder 2 teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ cup chopped walnuts Directions Combine the hot water and instant coffee. Set aside. Whisk together flour, cocoa, dry milk, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, cream the butter or margarine, brown sugar, and sugar substitute with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.
