Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings 1 ¼ cups boiling water 1 (8 ounce) package chopped dates 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt ¾ cup butter 1 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips ½ cup white sugar ½ cup chopped walnuts Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
