This buttercream frosting has a wonderful, fresh strawberry flavor. I make this every year for my son's birthday.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 16 servings

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 (32 ounce) package confectioners' sugar

  • 1 cup finely chopped strawberries

Directions

  1. Beat butter at medium speed until fluffy. Add confectioners' sugar and strawberries and beat until smooth.

Cook’s Note

You may not need to use all of the powdered sugar, but you will use most of it. You want the frosting to be creamy. You can add more strawberries if it is too thick or more powdered sugar if it is too runny.
