This slow cooker chicken and mushroom dish is a yummy, easy meal. I like to use the leftovers with the gravy to make chicken pot pie. Goes well with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 4 (5 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms

  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine chicken, soup, cream cheese, mushrooms, salt, and pepper in the bottom of a slow cooker.

  2. Cover and cook until chicken is no longer pink in the center and juices run clear, on Low, 6 to 8 hours, or High, 4 to 5 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
