Instant Pot® Old Bay® Corn on the Cob

4.0
(1)

If you've never made corn in your Instant Pot®, you need to give it a try. Corn cooked in your pressure cooker comes out crisp and naturally sweet and buttery since none of the natural flavor is boiled off or lost in escaping steam. This recipe for Old Bay® corn on the cob gives you that flavor of a low country boil but with very little effort.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 2 teaspoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), divided

  • 4 ears corn, husks and silks removed

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup water and 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning in the inner pot of a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®). Place a steamer rack trivet in the bottom of the pot. Arrange corn on top of the trivet, overlapping or stacking if needed, and sprinkle with remaining seasoning.

  2. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 2 minutes. Allow 7 to 10 minutes for pressure to build.

  3. Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid. Drain and serve.

Cook's Note:

This recipe is written for 4 ears of corn, but you can cook from 1 to 12 cobs at the same time with the same instructions, depending on the size of your pressure cooker pot and how you arrange the corn.
