Original recipe (1X) yields 60 servings 1 ½ cups white sugar 1 cup shortening ½ cup pumpkin puree 2 eggs 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour 1 tablespoon cream of tartar 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg ¼ teaspoon ground ginger ¼ teaspoon ground allspice ¼ teaspoon ground cloves ¼ cup white sugar, or as needed Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
