Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 8 ounces pasta, cooked, drained

  • 1 (14 ounce) package Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage, diagonally cut into 1/4-inch slices

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 10 minutes depending on shape and package directions; drain and set aside.

  2. While pasta is cooking, sauté sausage in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, turning occasionally.

  3. Add cream and Cajun seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently until mixture begins to thicken, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.

  4. Add pasta to sauce and toss to serve.

Recipe Tip

For added fresh flavor, mix in 1 cup of frozen green peas in the last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking the pasta.
