Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

  2. Stir olive oil, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper together in a small bowl. Brush sweet potato slices with maple mixture and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes, then flip over, brush with any remaining maple mixture, and continue baking until tender in the middle and crispy on the edges, about 7 more minutes.

Cook’s Note

Some people like these chips crunchy, some like them soft, so keep and eye on them to determine when they're done to your liking!
