Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

  • 1 (23-ounce) package prepared chicken meatballs, such as Aidells® Teriyaki & Pineapple Chicken Meatballs

  • 1 yellow onion, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/3 head cabbage, cut into small pieces

  • 3 tablespoons marinara sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon Creole seasoning, or to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste

Directions

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, just until onions become soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. Stir in cabbage, the remaining 1 tablespoon butter, marinara, Creole seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stirring frequently, cook until cabbage is tender with a bite, about 3 minutes, or longer if you prefer more tender cabbage.
