On Jan. 31, 2024, the FDA issued an update to the ongoing Quaker Oats product recall to add an additional product to the list of recalled products. Quaker Chewy Dipps Llama Rama bars are now a part of the company’s ongoing recall.

This product recall is a part of the company’s continued efforts to recall more than 30 products in December 2023 and 26 products in January 2024 due to potential Salmonella contamination. Like the products from the first two callouts, the Quaker Chewy Dipps Llama Rama bars were sold throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan.

While this variety of Quaker granola bars was discontinued in September 2023, they have a “Best Before” date of Feb. 10 or 11, 2024. Quaker Oats is advising consumers to check their pantries and dispose of any recalled products immediately.

What To Do if You Ate a Recalled Quaker Product

Despite the product being off the store shelves since September, you might have it in your pantry. If you consumed the recalled product and experienced diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever, these could be signs of salmonella poisoning.

Per the CDC, these symptoms may appear between 6 hours and 6 days after eating the contaminated food. Call your healthcare provider if you have a fever of 102°F or higher, diarrhea for more than three days without signs of getting better, cannot keep liquids down due to vomiting, and are dehydrated.

For any other questions regarding this recall, you can contact Quaker Consumer Relations (9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday) at 1-800-492-9322 or visit www. quakergranolarecall.com for additional information or product reimbursement.
