Negroni Sbagliato for a Crowd

A classic Negroni is a triad of equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth. The sbagliato—Italian for “mistaken”—subs prosecco for the gin for a balanced, pleasantly bitter spritzer.

  • 1 1/2 cups sweet vermouth

  • 1 (750-ml) bottle prosecco or other sparkling wine, chilled

  • 12 orange twists

If you only have dry vermouth on hand, CookingWithShelia recommends adding 2 tablespoons agave nectar to the big-batch mixture.
