Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Updated on September 27, 2023 On Sept. 23, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that Green Valley Foods is recalling over 4,000 pounds of frozen meat pizza products. The recall is due to undeclared allergens in the products. Frozen Pizzas Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergen Green Valley Foods is a North Dakota company that creates Grubberputz’s Premium Snacks. Five variations of Grubberputz’s Premium Pizza are included in the recall: Taco, 3-Meater, Hog Unit, House Special, and Pepperoni. These pizzas contain soy, a commonly known allergen, which was not disclosed on the labels of the products. According to the announcement on the USDA website, “The problem was discovered during routine FSIS testing when in-plant personnel identified and verified that the product contained soy, which was not declared on the label.” Getty Images/Allrecipes The affected products were produced between Sept. 20, 2022, and Sept. 20, 2023. They contain the lot codes 2632 and 2633. The pizzas were shipped to retailers in North Dakota as well as Minnesota and Montana. As of now, there has been no confirmation of poor reactions in relation to the consumption of the affected recalled products. FSIS does believe some of the affected products may be in consumers' freezers and urges consumers not to eat the affected products. Instead, you can throw them away, or return the products to the retailer where you purchased them. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
