This Popular Chocolate Snack Was Just Recalled in 38 States

It contains an undeclared allergen.

The FDA reports that Hammond’s Candies has recalled 4-ounce bags of Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones because they may contain undeclared milk. Those who are allergic to milk or have a sensitivity to milk may have a serious or life-threatening reaction after consuming the waffle cones. To date, one allergic reaction has been reported.

The recalled product was sold online through the company’s website and Amazon. They were also sold in retail stores in 38 states plus Washington, D.C. The states include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

How to Identify the Recalled Hammond’s Dark Chocolate Mini Waffle Cones

The recalled candies are packaged in a 4-ounce stand-up, resealable bag with the following codes, which can be found printed on the lower-center region of the back of the bag:
