Kraft Heinz Is Recalling Over 80,000 Cases of Kraft Singles Cheese Slices

Yesterday, Kraft Heinz announced a recall of 83,800 cases of its individually wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices. The voluntary recall was issued due to a potential choking hazard.

The company said in a press release that a “temporary issue” in one of its wrapping machines resulted in the possibility that a thin strip of the film wrapping may remain on the cheese slices after the wrapper has been removed. The statement continued on to say, “If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could be unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard.”
