In fact, some discontinued products earn themselves such a cult-like following that fans are willing to beg, petition, and steal to get a taste of their beloved snacks again. Well, not exactly steal, but when the products end up on eBay, it’s nothing short of highway robbery. Case in point? Lay’s Nashville Hot Chicken flavored potato chips. The popular flavor was discontinued sometime back in 2020, and we found one vendor selling a bag that expired in 2020 for a whopping $40. Now that’s devotion...Or something else we wouldn't dare to name. The good news? You don’t have to spend anything close to that kind of cash for a freshly minted bag at the grocery store. That’s because, for a limited time, Lay’s appears to have brought the popular snack back. Lay’s Brings Back Nashville Hot Chicken Flavored Potato Chips Lay's We first spotted Lay’s Nashville Hot Chicken flavored chips on social media, but we also saw the chips are officially back on the PepsiCo website (PepsiCo is Lay’s parent company) with updated packaging. It’s worth noting that the new bag says they’re a “Limited Time Flavor“, which leads us to believe that people are going to stock up even more than usual (while they can!). So where can you find Lay’s Nashville Hot Chicken chips? It’s unclear which retailers are carrying them at this point but we did see the chips are in stock on Kroger’s website. There, a 7.75-ounce bag retails for $3.99, but if you buy four, each one is only $1.99. We also noticed them in stock at Publix, where the chips are buy one, get one free. Apparently, it pays to hoard your favorite crunchy snacks. The chips are worth grabbing when and where you can find them. Back in 2020, reviews on Walmart.com were highly favorable. “This chip has a fantastic spice to it that will hit you more than you expect. The flavor is great and I am really bummed it is limited time. I have stocked up a bit though,” said one reviewer. Another five-star review reads, “Best chip yet!!! I have bought out [my] local Walmart.” That may be why another reviewer wrote they’re “so good that you go [to] 3 different Walmarts to track down these chips.“ It’s tough to keep tabs on the latest Lay’s innovations. Just recently, the brand unveiled its newest addition for heat fans when it debuted Kettle Cooked Cajun Spice Flavor. Snackers in love with the burn were also treated to the arrival of Lay’s Sweet & Spicy Honey earlier this year. But sometimes, the call of the familiar is the one we’re most likely to answer, and we’re certainly excited that Nashville Hot is back once again. Just know that if they’re anything like other limited-edition Lay’s flavors, they’re sure to disappear from shelves as quickly as they came. ‘Tis the season to stockpile the spicy chips while you can!
