You probably have it in your pantry.

By now, we all know that most celebrities have pretty relatable food habits. They enjoy simple snacks, use store-bought shortcuts, and are even big fans of Allrecipes.

However, there are some food legends out there who we would never guess have similar tastes to us, Julia Child being at the top of that list.

When we think of the French cuisine-loving chef, we usually think of homemade Beef Bourguignon or Salad Niçoise, not a pantry full of snacks. However, it turns out that Child was a sucker for one store-bought snack in particular—and it’s one that we love, too.

Julia Child's Favorite Store-Bought Snack

Dorie Greenspan, author of "Baking with Julia," has often recalled her summer spent with the beloved chef. It's how we recently discovered that Child didn't always use homemade mayo—instead, she would slather Hellmann's on her favorite lunch of tuna salad.

It turns out that Child had an affinity for the Pepperidge Farm discount store—where she would likely pick up her Pepperidge Farm white bread for those tuna salad sandwiches. However, Greenspan said the outlet trips also meant bringing home a super-sized box of Goldfish crackers.

That's right, one of the most famous American chefs loved the "snack that smiles back."

"Julia's favorite drink was a reverse martini – more vermouth than gin – and her favorite nibble with drinks was Pepperidge Farm Goldfish," Greenspan wrote.

It's said that Child served Goldfish crackers and Upside-Down Martinis at her dinner parties—and even as a Thanksgiving appetizer while guests waited for the bird. It turns out she was creating a fantastic savory pairing long before the internet made the "perfect meal" of a martini with Caesar salad and fries cool.

As perpetual fans of a little snack with every meal, we like your style, Julia!
