Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Published on October 29, 2024 Close Photo: International Delight/Allrecipes Danone U.S. has initiated a recall for more than 10,000 bottles of International Delight coffee creamer for misbranding. The recall impacts the International Delight “Home Alone” Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar coffee creamer because it was labeled as “zero sugar,” but it does, in fact, contain sugar. The mislabeled coffee creamer was recalled on Oct. 12 from all stores in Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. International Delight didn’t share the lot number for the recalled coffee creamer, but it did call out that the recall impacts all Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar creamers with the best-by date of Feb. 25, 2025. International Delight/Allrecipes International Delight’s “Home Alone” holiday creamers have been in stores since July, so if you purchased the Zero Sugar variety from a store in those 13 states any time in the past three months, you’ll want to check the best-by label. The recall only impacts the Peppermint Mocha Zero Sugar creamer. The other “Home Alone” creamers—including regular Peppermint Mocha, Hot Chocolate Marshmallow, and Frosted Sugar Cookie—have not been recalled. If you have the recalled coffee creamer, you can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The FDA hasn’t reported any illnesses caused by the recalled coffee creamer, however, if you are controlling your sugar intake for medical reasons, it may be unsafe to consume the creamer. Because the International Delight coffee creamer was recalled for misbranding, there’s nothing inherently unsafe about the creamer that could affect all consumers. If you are not trying to control your sugar intake, the creamer is still safe to enjoy, you’ll just want to bear in mind that it is not “zero sugar.” It’s unclear if the regular International Delight Peppermint Mocha, which contains five grams of sugar per serving, was mislabeled as “zero sugar,” or if the Zero Sugar Peppermint Mocha had sugar accidentally added to it. So, if you’re watching your sugar intake, it’s safer to throw the creamer away or return it for a refund. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
