Allrecipes' editorial guidelines Published on August 29, 2024 Close Photo: Getty Images / Allrecipes Without going into my kitchen and counting them individually, I can think of seven cutting boards currently in there. I have a large wooden one that comes out when I need to carve a cooked turkey or quickly chop up the fresh veggies languishing in the back of the fridge. Then there are the other boards, each in different sizes with specific uses, including a very small one that goes on picnics with me. By far, the cutting board I use the most is a simple plastic one. It's just the right size for daily things, like cutting an apple for my morning oatmeal, slicing citrus to put in my water, or dicing onions for dinner. I know this might seem like overkill, but if you cook a lot, you know how essential cutting boards are in the kitchen. If you don't already have a staple cutting board, then you're in luck because Dollar Tree has a super durable and budget-friendly one that you're sure to reach for time and time again. Dollar Tree’s Cooking Concepts Cutting Board Dollar Tree, which now sells most items for $1.25, has been killing it with many great kitchen items lately. From bench scrapers that help you scoop up chopped vegetables to Tupperware copycats and gorgeous dishware that you'd never guess came from a dollar store, its kitchen aisle is becoming as popular as the Aldi Finds housewares aisle for affordable kitchen staples and decorative pieces. One of those staples is an 8.5-inch by 11-inch Cooking Concepts white plastic cutting board, about the same size as my most used one, for just $1.25—which is quite the bargain. By comparison, similar products on Amazon go for almost 10 times as much. The Dollar Tree cutting board features a soft grip that keeps it from sliding around on the counter and is dishwasher safe. Dollar Tree The cutting board may not be as exciting of a purchase from Dollar Tree as buying its Royal Norfolk Blueburst Dinner Plates for $1.25 each, but not every purchase needs to be exciting. If you need a new cutting board and don't want to break the bank, The Cooking Concepts cutting board, with a 5-star rating on Dollar Tree's website, is a smart, inexpensive choice.
