Whether it’s our favorite private label products that serve as cheaper copycats to name-brand items or the one frozen item we never leave the store without, shopping at Aldi brings us so much joy. And as avid Aldi shoppers, we know there’s one aisle in the store that we can’t leave a shopping trip without taking a peek down. By taking a peek, we of course mean adding 10 additional items to our cart that we didn’t intend—or really need—to buy. The aisle in question? The one Aldi customers lovingly call “the Aisle of Shame.” What Is Aldi's Aisle of Shame? Many shoppers refer to Aldi’s Aldi Finds aisle as the “Aisle of Shame.” But more specifically, the Aldi Finds aisle featuring home goods and lifestyle products—not the food section. Yes, every month, we share the best food items coming to the Aldi Finds section. However, those aren’t the items you’d find in the “Aisle of Shame” because there’s no shame in stocking up on seven bags of your favorite limited-time potato chips (we’re looking at you, Clancy’s Cheddar & Sour Cream Baked Chips). Instead, the “Aisle of Shame” is where you find things like Dutch ovens, candles, throw blankets, shoes, patio decor, and much more. In reality, there’s no shame in buying any of these items either—in fact, we encourage it because Aldi’s products are high quality, and most of them are dupes for expensive name-brand items. But shoppers call it the “Aisle of Shame” because customers tend to lose all self-control when they enter the aisle. "Besties I think the biggest thing that I've learned about myself this year is that if I'm gonna misbehave, it's gonna be in the Aisle of Shame at Aldi. Have you SEEN the fall items? There is, in FACT a Le Creuset cream Dutch oven dupe. For THIRTY DOLLARS. How can I be expected to act with decorum in this economy," TikTok user @averybrynn1 posted. When you find a cast iron skillet for $10 or a comfy cardigan for $15, it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t on the grocery list; you’re probably going to snag it because it’s just that good of a deal. And, before you know it, your cart is filled with more Aldi Finds than actual food. So, now you have to do the walk of shame out of the Aldi Finds section before you realize that 90% of the other customers are doing the exact same thing—and they’re all looking over their shoulders to make sure you’re not watching, too. But let’s be clear: Aldi customers love the “Aisle of Shame”—there are even TikTok accounts dedicated to showing customers what’s new in the aisle each week. More accurately, it's the "Aisle of Impulse Buys" because, despite its name, we Aldi shoppers know that there’s really no shame in saving a few bucks by shopping at the German grocer. And after one trip down the “Aisle of Shame,” you’ll understand why we can’t stop saying, “...And, I got it at Aldi!” Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
