It’s hard to see our favorite items get discontinued, but it’s like Christmas morning whenever they make a comeback.

When Aldi’s holiday ice cream pops returned, we couldn’t help but stock up. Then Sam’s Club re-released its holiday cake balls, and the season got a lot jollier.

Costco has also been known to resurrect some of the best items the store offers, such as seasonal desserts, ready-to-bake comfort meals, and now, a beloved sweet and salty snack we've all been missing.

Costco’s Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets Are Back

After a quick disappearing act in the fall, Costco recently brought back its ever-popular Kirkland Signature peanut butter pretzel nuggets.

This iconic Costco snack is made of pretzels stuffed with peanut butter and covered in salt for a deliciously creamy, crunchy concoction that’s hard to avoid. The item comes in a 3-pound container, making it easy to enjoy more than just a few.

Why Costco's Peanut Butter Pretzels Were Discontinued

In September, these pretzels disappeared from the retailer’s shelves, leaving shoppers wondering where they went without finding out why they were discontinued.

There have been reports of a possible defect causing these pretzels to lose their luster and, therefore, be removed. A YouTube video by Luvs 2 Travel describes finding these pretzels again, saying Costco couldn’t sell them due to a “manufacturing defect in the top of the canister that made them go stale.”

Whatever the reason for this snack to disappear from the shelves, we’re just glad it’s back. And we aren’t the only ones. Everyone is talking about the pretzels’ triumphant return. One Redditor excitedly claimed that the peanut butter pretzel nuggets are back, and one commenter replied, “Good grief glad to hear it! We always keep these in the house.”

The Reddit post states that the pretzels were found in a Colorado store, so it’s unclear whether all Costco locations are selling them again nationwide. It’s best to check with your local store to see if they have returned to shelves near you.
