The Costco Bakery Favorite You've Waited All Year For Is Finally Back

Fall can officially start now.

October is officially here, and there’s one flavor we’re ready to celebrate to the fullest. Say what you will about pumpkin spice, but in our opinion, it’s a must-have in the fall—and few grocery stores understand the pumpkin spice fever like Costco.

We’ve been anxiously waiting as the warehouse bakery has rolled out an abundance of autumn goodies, like Caramel Apple Mini Cakes and Pumpkin Streusel Muffins, but finally, our fall favorite has arrived: the Pumpkin Spice Loaf.

That’s right—back for its third year in a row, the Pumpkin Spice Loaf is ready to harvest from your local Costco. The spice loaf is known for being incredibly moist and incredibly tasty, whether it’s eaten cold or warmed in the microwave

Featuring two and a quarter pounds of moist, delicately-spiced bread (that closely resembles cake), the Pumpkin Spice Loaf is coated with a rich cream cheese frosting and topped with delicate white chocolate curls. It makes for an extra-special breakfast with a warm cup of coffee, or a sweet finish to a cozy Crockpot dinner.

The cream cheese frosting gives the spice cake a carrot cake-feel, but the pumpkin flavor keeps it tasting fall-forward. It’s so irresistible, Costco customers have admitted to devouring it overnight.

One Reddit user reacted to the news of the pumpkin treat's return saying, “This is the best day of my life.”

With this decadent pumpkin bread, you can enjoy all the coziness of fresh-baked fall goods even if you’re not a “baker” yourself. The only dish you'll dirty up is a serving plate.

The cake is very sweet, rich and heavy on the warm spices, so if you like your pumpkin desserts a little more classic, grab the Pumpkin Streusel Muffins or the famed four-pound Pumpkin Pie instead, both on shelves now.

This long-awaited pumpkin spice sweet has been spotted selling for $9.99 (a bit more than last year), but prices may vary depending on the location. And don't wait too long—these limited-time loaves are just here for the season, and it’ll be the holidays before you know it!
