September 2024 There is something special about this “simple” side dish. I have made plenty versions of Basmati Rice over the years and this was my favorite yet! I am not sure if it’s the chicken stock? The bay leaf? The onions? The process? I followed exactly and made to pair with Creamy Cilantro Chicken. I could have devoured this pan of rice alone! I would have given it 5 stars, except I think the vinegar is too strong. I will DEFINITELY be making this again, but next time I will only add 1 TBS vinegar and double the sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds. June 2024 This is seriously the best waffle recipe I've ever used. And the best waffle I've ever tasted, no. Exaggeration. They get a little crispy on the outside, stay moist and soft on the inside, and have just the right amount of cinnamon. They do not need syrup, barely need butter, and fresh sliced strawberries on top is freaking amazing. Next time I'm going to make some whipped cream just to be ridiculously over the top. Can’t believe none of the other reviewers mentioned this. A full teaspoon of salt for just one cup of flour, as the recipe calls for, is crazy. If I make this again, I’ll use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon instead. We loved this dish and will be making it again. It really is satisfying and enjoyable like it’s high carb sister. I added more cream until it got to the consistency I wanted. I think the kind of Parmesan used can make a difference on how sticky it is. Great recipe! It added a little extra touch to the meal and an easy way to do surf and turf. I used passel instead of rosemary and it had great flavor. I made half the batch with sweet Hawaiian crescent rolls. The sweet were my favorite. But, not a huge difference in taste. I had leftover filling. So, grab an extra package of crescent to finish the filling. I used a cookie scoop and they were very easy to fill. The filling for the taco is seasoned nicely and can be used for any mexican style meal. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a vegetarian option.
