It is on the sweet side but really tasty! Helpful (1) Easy and Delicious Slow Cooker Cassoulet 04/16/2015 I was afraid to leave this all day in my crock pot for fear of overcooking, so I adapted it to my pressure cooker and it was simply fantastic! I pressure cooked the chicken, onions, garlic, spices and added carrots for 30 minutes, letting the pressure drop naturally for 15 minutes. I then added the beans, sausage and cooked bacon, brought it back to pressure for about 3-4 minutes, fast released the pressure and it was all ready. The flavors melded wonderfully and I was able to get it done in about an hour on a weeknight. Thanks so much for the recipe! Helpful (2) Black Bean Chicken Salad 07/18/2011 This was really a great meal and easy with a rotisserie chicken i grabbed on my way home from work. I definitely agree with the review that suggests cumin in the dressing as it does add extra flavor. Helpful (2) Italian Chicken and Chickpeas 01/28/2011 This was really good! I changed it just slightly after reading some reviews: I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces before cooking it, went easy on the cayenne and red pepper flakes and served it over angel hair pasta. I'll make this again and again! Helpful (6) Flatlander Chili 11/27/2010 This is the best basic chili recipe I have ever used. You can make it to suit what you have on hand and add to it for bigger crowds. I usually vary the tomatoes with what I have in the pantry using whole, diced or stewed and sauce. I also use more beans than called for to stretch it for a crowd. I use 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb ground turkey to make it slightly healthier. This is not a spicy chili but I keep a bottle of tabasco out with the toppings for folks to make it to thier liking. Overall, its the BEST!!! Thanks for the recipe! Helpful (9) Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya 02/10/2010 I made this for the Super Bowl in honor of NO and I must say it was WONDERFUL! Per another review I also used 4T of the creole seasoning on this site and with the spiciness of the sausage it was just right. I see how some could find it "soupy" but i thought it needed the jiuce with the rice to keep it from becoming too dry. All in all, I would highly suggest this recipe!
