I too added spices. An excellent treat, but it's better when you add spice. Also, a very pretty dish to serve.

A pretty salad and delicious; I used the "Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette" recipe from this site and was a perfect match.

Even though the recipe states 'sweet' slaw, this had far too much sugar and I did my own altering after tasting to fix it. However, what I absolutely loved in it was the onion and poppy seeds. I used red onion and was just right. Those two ingredients were a very nice touch and worthy of a repeat performance.

As written 4 stars, but as with all salad dressing I add more or less of an ingredient to suit my taste. Flavors go well together.

You can reduce the fat out of this recipe and add more vegetables in if desired. I wouldn't cut down on the butter though. I used half the sour cream and cheese adding in other veggies and was a wonderful side dish and pretty. Family loved it.

I hadn't really given much thought to making chocolate ice cream until I saw this recipe. I wondered whether the texture and flavor would live up to my expectations of what I like in a chocolate ice cream...smooth and chocolaty. Happily, my family was all surprised how good the outcome of this was- never having "homemade" chocolate ice cream before! I'm not sure why others had the freezing problems. I think perhaps their base or ice cream freezer wasn't cold enough.
