Say what you will about its ownership saga, but there's no doubt TikTok was a big winner in 2020. At a time when millions were desperate for entertainment, the social network came through with all sorts of kitchen hacks, recipe ideas, and all manner of viral diversions.

So it's only right that the holiday season brings with it at least one ingenious TikTok idea to elevate your yuletide baking. Specifically, @_kaylacollins had the brilliant idea to turn Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into a dang dip.

Given that the primary ingredient is already made for you (unless you really want to go out of your way to make this from scratch), assembling your Christmas Tree Cake dip is pretty simple. Just take two packs of those Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, and combine them with eight ounces of cream cheese, ⅓ of a cup of milk, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a whole eight ounce container of whipped topping in a stand mixer. Then, let that particular kitchen implement do its job.

From there, you just have to refrigerate until serving, with @_kaylcollins recommending Nilla Wafers. Pretzels are also a good option for those craving a sweet and salty combo. Really, though, anything you can think of dipping deserves to take the plunge. Brownies? Go for it. Gingerbread people? Let 'em go for a swim. To make it even more festive, maybe add in festive sprinkles or a bit more peppermint.

With holiday baking so often dictated by traditional recipes that haven't changed all that much since your grandmother was your age, it's good to know that there's still room for innovation and originality. And once again, we have the TikTok youths to thank for it.
