If you need help creating salary structures or merit pay, sites like Indeed, Payscale and Glassdoor all offer this type of information based on your industry, position to fill, and geographic location.
State websites can also offer valuable information regarding minimum wage for your specific city, allowing you to create a benchmark for hourly employees.
Most companies offer the standard seven paid days off – New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and Christmas; however, many companies add holidays like Christmas Eve, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Juneteenth.
Other Types of Compensation
· Salary plus commission for employees who are encouraged to make sales and reach goals, but still receive base pay
· Commission-only plans for salespeople who must perform in order to get paid
Again, doing some research using sites like Indeed, Glassdoor, and {your state name}.gov can help you determine the median salary of people working in the same or similar roles at other companies.
